“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33 ) This year my resolution is to Grow in Obedience for God and also in knowledge. I want to be more disciplined and orderly this year. So I wanted to share what tools I’ve found have been helpful thus far.
First and Foremost has to be YouVersion It’s the bible app that’s gone Viral. I love the Fact that I can access it anyway, Phone tablet or PC. I’m on it on my phone before I go to sleep and when I wake up, I love where their hearts are at they haven’t charged for anything and they continue to grow. Apps are available for Apple and Android devices. Other Apps that I absolutely love are: Daily Bible because of the podcast that are available through it, I listen to Ravi Zacharias Let My People Think, and other such podcasts; Faithlife Study Bible because of the commentary, the downside is it’s a paid membership,
For Online and study group experience, I absolutely love BibleX. I found this website through a YouVersion bible plan. If you’re like me, and you get more out of a bible study with questions and answers type format, and a small group discussions, then this website is made for you. It’s pretty much a virtual bible study small group. It’s a plan that’s already set up online through modules that are further broken down into sessions. Each session has a Study Learn and Grow section, and it takes you through the bible explaining it with videos and questions. Then once a week you connect with the members of your group to discuss the module, and what you’ve learned thus far.
For a more traditional type of Bible study and the one that has been inspiring my posts is a workbook called The Mind of Christ by T.W Hunt and Cluade V. King. It can be found in Lifeway.com for $14.99. It’s supposed to be as a small group also, but I”ve been going through it on my Own and then reviewing it with my brother.
Lastly is good old fashion reading the bible and meditating on a chapter verse by verse. I find this very helpful. Hope you found some new tools for study if you know of any more feel free to comment below.
Have a blessed day and You’re always in my Prayers.
